FractalU Boston is a school run by the people who attend it. Anyone can propose a class, and anyone can sign up. Classes are financially accessible, they meet in person, and they happen around Somerville and Cambridge: in cafes, living rooms, and whatever space fits the group.
Anyone can teach
Most people know at least one thing well enough to teach it. A living room and a handful of interested people is all a class really needs.
Learn by doing
Classes here lean practical. You make the thing, or talk through the book together, and pick up the theory as you go.
Rooted in community
Classes are financially accessible and always in person. Most meet in Somerville or Cambridge, sometimes in a coffee shop, sometimes in somebody's kitchen.
Fall 2026 is taking shape
We're collecting course proposals through Sun, Aug 16, 2026. Pitch the thing you know best — a living room and a handful of curious people is all it takes. The catalog goes live once classes are reviewed.
