A playful exploration of personal style - figuring out what we like, experimenting outside our usual comfort zones, and getting fresh ideas from other people. Bring your clothes, your curiosity, and an openness to trying something a little different.

We'll spend a few weeks figuring out our personal styles and having fun with clothes. We'll talk about what we already like, try to put words/frameworks around our styles, and experiment with things that might be a little outside our usual comfort zones.

Sessions will involve a mix of discussion and activities; for example, bringing in a piece you have trouble styling and getting ideas from the group, looking at outfit photos and figuring out how we'd recreate the vibe, or trying to style the same piece in totally different ways. We may also do a mini group trip to a thrift store or other retailer and give ourselves some fun challenges to find something we'd normally overlook or like to try styling.

The idea is to get some fresh perspectives on our own wardrobes, try things we might not think to try on our own, and figure out what actually feels good to wear. You definitely don't need to consider yourself a “fashion person” to join. Consider this course if you want to freshen up or define your personal style, experiment with self-expression, or get some fresh input on your style from other people.

One thing we might try from Session 2 onward - wear at least one thing inspired by something you tried or talked about in the previous session, so we can see how everyone's style evolves.

Bring some clothes, some curiosity, and a willingness to experiment!

Note: current class schedule and location may be subject to change depending on cohort preferences

I'm a fashion enthusiast and pattern lover with a particular love for thrifting, bold pieces, and unexpected combinations. My Indian background and ethnic heritage are a big source of inspiration for how I think about color, pattern, texture, and personal style, and I love experimenting with how those influences can show up in everyday style.
