Is all of psychology fake? No, but when labs across the country tried to replicate 100 psychology studies, only 40 of them worked. Something is very, very wrong.

Is all of psychology fake? A prestigious journal publishes evidence that people have psychic powers. A team of researchers show that listening to a Beatles song can make you almost a year and a half younger. Labs across the country try to replicate 100 psychology studies, and only 40 work. Something is very, very wrong. These events are part of a massive upheaval in the field that has come to be known as the replication crisis.

Each week, we’ll take a deep dive into the most influential papers from the replication crisis — an ongoing reckoning that began in psychology and has rippled through medicine, biology, and beyond. We’ll read, discuss, and wrestle with the limits of scientific knowledge, learning how to spot shaky research and think critically about big claims. Whether you're in academia, industry, policy, or you just want to understand science better, this is a chance to show up, week after week, and grow alongside people who share your desire to get it right.
